Introduction
Hereby
I want to introduce my self. My name is Marc Brevet and I am living
in Biervliet. I was born in 1969. As a young kid I was already
interested in racing pigeons. Till 1996 I played together with my
father in Biervliet with P.V. Hoop. We played races between 100 km –
600 km with fluctuating successes In 1996 my parents went to Sluis. I
quit the pigeon sport for one year. But in 1998 I started again. In
the beginning of the years 2000 I had my topyears. In 2009 I moved
again to another address and I placed complete new lofts. Fortunately
I could already place my lofts on my new place. Also the pigeons
needed to be used to the new lofts which took some time.
In
2007 I decided to change drastically my ambitions in pigeon sport.
Because I always played 100 km – 600 km flights and also with the
young birds I was competing from April till September. This
took too much time. Therefore I switched
over to the 700 + Km flights, that means that I can focus me on the
months July and August and have more time for my family also. In
principle I play only the noon-flights but in the future I also want
to participate on the morning-flights.
With
the current pigeons at my loft I hope to classify me in the top 100
on national level within three years. I have not that much pigeons. I
can place 24 cocks and 12 couples of nestpigeons. But for the moment
this quantity will be less. I have also 16 couples of breeders.
